Since it’s inception, in the year 2000, PBMA’s H. V. Desai Eye Hospital has become a one-stop centre for vision-related treatments, as well as research, pertaining to advancements in the field of ophthalmology. The hospital has earned national as well as international acclaim.

Till date, PBMA’s H. V. Desai Eye Hospital has examined around 50.74 lakh  patients in its OPD and operated  5,70,693 lakh patients, which can be attributed to the help provided by philanthropic friends and well-wishers.

Moreover, the hospital has evolved into a platform that brings together prominent ophthalmologists, government representatives, the media and different welfare agencies to discuss issues related to the prevention of blindness and the steps that need to be taken to deal with the same.
