Optical Store
After the comprehensive eye examination is completed, many patients require to wear Spectacles. The optical store counter in the main hospital building has a variety of frames and offers Ophthalmic lenses from most well know Optical lens brands line Zeiss, Hoya and Essilor along with many Indian brands like GKB lenses at very reasonable prices in India.
To help young children choose appropriate spectacles, we have a small optical counter in our paediatric department where parents and their kids can choose from variety products specially made for kids. Similarly in the Super Specialty building, in the paid OPD section, we have a special room where we have displayed many products from Indian and some International premium brands.
The Optical team is also headed by senior Optometrists, specially trained in optical dispensing and is ably supported by specially trained sales staff. Final year interns of College of Optometry also get experience to work in optical store under the supervision of our experienced staff.
We have in-house spectacle lens cutting and fitting equipment some of which is with high end technology, so that when prescription lenses are available, we can make and dispense Spectacles within a short period of time.
